#30DaysOfThanks2015 Day 8 Blogger: Heidi from Rainy Day Ramblings

Posted November 8, 2015 by Felicia S in Month of Thanks / 17 Comments

Hi Y’all! It is November and I am bringing back #30DaysOfThanks for Year 4 aka #30DaysOfThanks2015. I had so much fun doing this last 3 years that I thought I would recycle the program again this year. Switching it up this year with 3 posts a day–1 author, 1 narrator, and 1 blogger that really touched me this year. I didn’t have room to thank everyone because really my life overfloweth with awesome bloggers, books, and listening enjoyment. I tried to fit in some new people who have come into my life/reading enjoyment the last year while still shouting out my tribe of many years. I am so glad that I didn’t have room because it means my life ROCKS!

Heidi from Rainy Day Ramblings

I adore Heidi! We have been friends for a couple of years now and she is just one of the most uplifting presences in the blogsphere. Her kids are adorable. Her attitude is beautiful and giving. She just is one of those people who I look up to. She has so many great features on her blog but it is her reviews that I love. She is really good at breaking down a book without spoilers. You know what she likes and what just didn’t quite work for her! Really she is just a must follow and even more importantly a good person to know!

About Heidi (from her blog)

I have always had a healthy passion for reading. My love of books started at an early age, as soon as I could read my life long love affair for books began. Reading to me is one of the finest pleasures in life. My guilty indulgence is a good book, a soft blanket and a cozy concoction. It is thrilling to hold a book in your hands and wonder at the secrets that are buried deep within. Then page by page the story pours out revealing it’s heart and soul until there is nothing left to show; nothing left to say. To me a good book is one that continues to call to you after completion. The characters are still whispering in your mind; their story threads reaching out to entangle you even as you pick up another book to start the wonderful process anew. Each book is a new adventure, a new story, another find. That is why I read!

I am currently a stay at home mother of two toddlers, who keep me very busy. I also have a wonderful, supportive husband without whom this blog would not be possible. I am a recent transplant to the rainy, region of Portland, Oregon; thus the reason for Rainy Day Ramblings. The many rainy days here provide me ample time to snuggle up under a comfy blanket with a cat and read while the rain drips down my window.

I also, when I find time, enjoy baking, candle and jewelry making, cross stitching and spending ample time with family.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you will stay awhile and chat about books. Please leave me a note or comment. They are always much appreciated!

  1. Ahh thank you Felicia and all of you for your sweet and kind comments. You are all the reason I keep blogging. I love the community.

  2. Love Heidi! I feel bad because I don’t make it to her blog often enough (as is true with most) but I totally agree, she’s a great person and has the best reviews. Her kids always sound so sweet too πŸ™‚
