#30DaysOfThanks2015 Day 8 Author: Kristen Ashley

Posted November 8, 2015 by Felicia S in Month of Thanks / 7 Comments

Hi Y’all! It is November and I am bringing back #30DaysOfThanks for Year 4 aka #30DaysOfThanks2015. I had so much fun doing this last 3 years that I thought I would recycle the program again this year. Switching it up this year with 3 posts a day–1 author, 1 narrator, and 1 blogger that really touched me this year. I didn’t have room to thank everyone because really my life overfloweth with awesome bloggers, books, and listening enjoyment. I tried to fit in some new people who have come into my life/reading enjoyment the last year while still shouting out my tribe of many years. I am so glad that I didn’t have room because it means my life ROCKS!

Kristen Ashley

This year it is no secret that I went down a Kristen Ashley Rabbit Hole. There is just no other way to describe it. It started at RT in May and lasted until last month. I have read 32 of her books. That equals 15,809 pages. I have laughed. I have cried. I have hated certain characters. I have loved certain characters. I have yelled. I have cheered. Whether I loved or hated the couple–the stories were page turners. I can honestly say that many of these will go on my reread shelf. These stories were a LOT like the ones that got me into reading romance. I am a teenager of the 80s so the uber alpha men tend to either completely make me swoon or I want to throttle them. Either way, they are always emotionally heart tugging. Her books are crack y’all! Just crack!

About Kristen Ashley (from goodreads)

Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorize and she hadn’t taken her first breath!).

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Her eclectic reading tastes include: Cozy Mysteries, Thrillers, Swoon-Worthy Romance of all kinds, Zombies, Urban Fantasy, Historical Fiction, and the occasional YA read.

During her non-reading time you can find her hanging with her rescue furr children named after book characters: Lizzie a beautiful cattle dog mix (Pound Pup), Cinder a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Pound Pup), and Minerva a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Foster Fail). Gathering with friends and family, attending conventions, watching movies/tv shows, rooting for the 49rs, and crocheting.

  1. I haven’t read anything by her – I’m kind of afraid of her alpha guys (not usually my thing) – but I’ve been following your reviews along the way!

  2. I’ve only read one of her books. It was recommended to me by Jessica from Rabid Reads. It was from the Fantasyland series. I really enjoyed it. I need to pick that series back up.

  3. KA has the best rabbit hole to disappear into, Felicia! And I so agree about those alpha men – I either love them or want to hit them with something very hard πŸ™‚ And wow, you’ve read most of her books now, that’s just amazing. I have read Rock Chick and the Chaos series, but that’s it for now… I guess I should catch up, eh?

    • Oh you will love Colorado Mountains and The Burg but they are freaking HUGE. Commitment!!!!! Wait did you read the last Mystery Man before starting Chaos? It really was the best of the MM and a must for Chaos πŸ™‚
