30DaysOfThanks
Hi Y’all! It is November and I am bringing back #30DaysOfThanks for Year 4 aka #30DaysOfThanks2015. I had so much fun doing this last 3 years that I thought I would recycle the program again this year. Switching it up this year with 3 posts a day–1 author, 1 narrator, and 1 blogger that really touched me this year. I didn’t have room to thank everyone because really my life overfloweth with awesome bloggers, books, and listening enjoyment. I tried to fit in some new people who have come into my life/reading enjoyment the last year while still shouting out my tribe of many years. I am so glad that I didn’t have room because it means my life ROCKS!

Mira Grant

So guess who finally got around to reading/listening to Feed this year? This girl! I am so glad I did though honestly I thought I had already (my brain isn’t what it used to be LOL). I LOVED IT! I now have the 2 other books as part of my read what I want/no TV January plan! I saw that I also saw that my library has her other series on audio so I will be checking those out too!

I have read 3 books by her alter ego–The first October Daye book, Indexing, and Sparrow Hill. Now with Indexing and Sparrow Hill—I loved them but the serial format is really not for me (I tend to listen when they are finished so lots of repeating). The stories though once you got left out the “catch-up” were FAB! I was told my problem with the first October Daye book is gone in book 2 so that is on my January list also 🙂

Her writing is strong, her characters unique, and I just love her pacing. There is way more of her in my future.

About Mira (from Goodreads)

Mira Grant

Born and raised in Northern California, Mira Grant has made a lifelong study of horror movies, horrible viruses, and the inevitable threat of the living dead. In college, she was voted Most Likely to Summon Something Horrible in the Cornfield, and was a founding member of the Horror Movie Sleep-Away Survival Camp, where her record for time survived in the Swamp Cannibals scenario remains unchallenged.

Mira lives in a crumbling farmhouse with an assortment of cats, horror movies, comics, and books about horrible diseases. When not writing, she splits her time between travel, auditing college virology courses, and watching more horror movies than is strictly good for you. Favorite vacation spots include Seattle, London, and a large haunted corn maze just outside of Huntsville, Alabama.

Mira sleeps with a machete under her bed, and highly suggests that you do the same.

Mira also writes as Seanan McGuire.
