Hi Y’all! It is November and I am bringing back #30DaysOfThanks for Year 4 aka #30DaysOfThanks2015. I had so much fun doing this last 3 years that I thought I would recycle the program again this year. Switching it up this year with 3 posts a day–1 author, 1 narrator, and 1 blogger that really touched me this year. I didn’t have room to thank everyone because really my life overfloweth with awesome bloggers, books, and listening enjoyment. I tried to fit in some new people who have come into my life/reading enjoyment the last year while still shouting out my tribe of many years. I am so glad that I didn’t have room because it means my life ROCKS!
This year I listened to Falling in Bed with a Duke by Lorraine Heath–Helen was one of the narrators and she nailed it. She was on my list in 2013 for some of her historical romance narration. She really is just great at nailing that genre. I adore her voice and cadence. I don’t even think twice about picking up audiobooks narrated by her.
About Helen Lloyd
Helen Lloyd is a British actor and voice artist, who recorded her first VO at the age of fourteen and was instantly hooked! Since then, she has spent much of her life interpreting other people’s words and bringing characters to life. A classically trained actor, (GSM&D) she has trodden the boards of many of Britain’s leading Repertory Theatres as well as The Old Vic, The National Theatre, at The Edinburgh Festival, The Roundhouse and in the West End, where she was the leading lady, Mollie, in Year 29 of the World’s longest running play ever, ‘The Mousetrap’; which has run, non-stop since 1953!. Helen is an experienced voice actor with a rich and flexible voice that is clear, expressive, and velvety – a voice that welcomes you and draws you into a story, engages you and leaves you wanting more. As well as narrating audiobooks, Helen has been a television continuity announcer and presenter and has voiced video games, animations, corporate and training films, appeals, e-learning projects, PSAs and over fifty broadcast television documentaries covering subjects ranging from ‘Clowns’ to ‘Daniel O’Donnell’; ‘Foot and Mouth Disease’ to ‘The Forgotten Heroes of the SAS’. A new and very proud grandmother, Helen is enjoying a kind of busman’s holiday spending her spare time recording all of her favourite children’s stories for her granddaughter, Elsie.
