Hi Y’all! It is November and I am bringing back #30DaysOfThanks for Year 3 aka #30DaysOfThanks2014. I had so much fun doing this last 2 years that I thought I would recycle the program again this year.
Book: Forgotten Sins by Rebecca Zanetti
I even made my book club read it (don’t judge) 🙂
His Secrets Can Destroy Her
From the moment Josie laid eyes on sexy, mysterious Shane Dean, she was in love. Their desire ignited a passionate affair, and within weeks, Shane had slipped a ring on her finger. It seemed her every fantasy was coming true . . . until her new husband disappeared without a trace. Now, two years and one broken heart later, Josie is shocked by the hospital calls: Shane has been found . . . at a crime scene with no memory of how he got there.
Her Love Can Save Him
Shane can’t remember the blue-eyed angel at his bedside—or who he even is—but he knows something isn’t right. His hearing is razor sharp, his physical strength incredible, and the urge to protect Josie overwhelming. For powerful enemies are hunting him, and Josie is the key to discovering why. As Shane struggles to unravel his past, dangerous new truths come to light. Can he protect the only woman he’s ever loved? And can Josie trust a man she thought she knew—one who carries such a deadly secret?
Blogger: Smitten with Reading
What can I say about Christi: I adore her HARD! Seriously she is one of those people that you meet in person and she is just as delightful as online. She is hardworking, funny, and sassy. She wears the best shoes (though I am not really sure how–I missed that gene). She lives near my original hometown which is just awesome (cause I come from the smallest place on earth–almost). She really is great! Plus she is a kick ass author. 🙂 Go show her some love!
Narrator: Lorelei King
Some of the books I have listened to by her:
- Charley Davidson series by
- Stephanie Plum series by
- Mercy Thompson series by
Some of the books on my wishlist:
- What Ever Happened to Baby Jane by
- Good Wives by
- Mission Canyon by
Also to note: I loved Cop Town by Karin Slaughter! The US version was narrated by
but I would love to listen to the UK version by LK! In fact she has done quite a few UK versions I would love to listen too!Examples:
This year Fantasy is More Fun & Because Reading are doing a Month of Giving Thanks giving you a chance to participate. You should take them up on the opportunity!
NOTE: This year I switched it up a bit for the first 12 days: I will highlight one book from 2014 that really stuck with me (each book scored a 4.75 or 5 from me), one narrator that landed on my must listen list, and one blogger that I am thankful for! For days 13 to 30 I will highlight either 2 bloggers and 1 narrator OR 2 narrators and 1 blogger. These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love. In fact this year in both the narrator and blogger categories I had way over 30 (Yet with books I only had 12 “new to me this year” reads that ranked above a 4.75). Narrowing narrators/bloggers down broke my heart so I am changing the format a bit! Hopefully, I can squeeze in everyone I want too!

It must have been good if you made your book club read it! =)
I have heard great things about Rebecca Zanetti, I even have some of her books on my TBR… I just need to find the time to read them.
Christi, she’s awesome! I don’t know if you know… she has a super power, she can read one million words per minute. OMG! That woman can read fast, really fast!
I’m listening to the Charley Davidson series and Lorelei King does an awesome job!.
Thanks for the shout out! I love that you made your book club read Forgotten Sins. For obvious reasons, about also because that totally cracks me up. 🙂
Forgotten Sins was a great discovery for me, and made fall in love with Romantic Suspense, a genre that I hadn’t been able to enjoy in the past.
What can I say about Lorelei King, she’s amazing and a total pro. I love the top 3 series you mentioned and I even enjoyed the YA series by Darynda Jones.
I have to check Smitten With Reading, she sounds great 🙂
Just followed Smitten with Reading; thanks for the recommendation! And wanted to let you know that BLIND FAITH (Nate’s story) will be out in audio and print in January 2015. I loved this one and can’t wait for the 4th.
You know what I think I actually have this on my Nook because of you.
Going to visit her 🙂
Oh wow…thank you, girly! I <3 you hard, too!!
And OMG, you paired me up with two of my all-time favorites. Seriously, FORGOTTEN SINS is one of my favorite books EVER!! And I'm starting book #8 of the Mercy audios that Lorelei King narrates today…OMG, she is an INCREDIBLE narrator!! I've been binging on the Mercy audios for the last month! <3
Thank you!!! smiles…
Aw, thanks so much for the love! That’s made my day… 🙂 xx
I almost bought Cop Town because I saw on FB that she was recording it, then realized it wasn’t her. I’m going to have to see if I can find a way to get my hands on a UK version. I love Lorelei King.
I also just found Forgotten Sins this year. I won it on audio from Rabid Reads. Just listened about a month ago. I loved it. Already ordered book two.
