Hi Y’all! It is November and I am bringing back #30DaysOfThanks for Year 3 aka #30DaysOfThanks2014. I had so much fun doing this last 2 years that I thought I would recycle the program again this year.
Book: NOS4R2 by Joe Hill
This was just a fantastic story from beginning to end!
Summer. Massachusetts.
An old Silver Wraith with a frightening history. A story about one serial killer and his lingering, unfinished business.
Anyone could be next.
We’re going to Christmasland…
NOS4A2 is an old-fashioned horror novel in the best sense. Claustrophobic, gripping and terrifying, this is a story that will have you on the edge of the seat while you read, and leaving the lights on while you sleep. With the horrific tale of Charles Manx and his Silver Wraith, Joe Hill has established himself as the premiere horror and supernatural thriller writer of his generation.
Blogger: Reading the Paranormal
What can I say about Kelly: Brilliant writer, unofficial Top of Tuesday originator, funny, kind, giving, and just all around delightful! She can make you laugh! She can make you fall down in awe at the number of books she reads in a year. Most of all though, she is just good people! Go give her some love!
Narrator: Fred Berman
Some of the books I have listened to by him:
- Dark Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon (some of them–mostly though I love Styxx)
- Rise of the Governor series by Robert Kirkman
Some of the books on my wishlist:
- The Wolfman by Jonathan Maberry
- Cowboys & Aliens by Joan D Vinge
- Horns by Joe Hill
Examples:
This year Fantasy is More Fun & Because Reading are doing a Month of Giving Thanks giving you a chance to participate. You should take them up on the opportunity!
NOTE: This year I switched it up a bit for the first 12 days: I will highlight one book from 2014 that really stuck with me (each book scored a 4.75 or 5 from me), one narrator that landed on my must listen list, and one blogger that I am thankful for! For days 13 to 30 I will highlight either 2 bloggers and 1 narrator OR 2 narrators and 1 blogger. These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love. In fact this year in both the narrator and blogger categories I had way over 30 (Yet with books I only had 12 “new to me this year” reads that ranked above a 4.75). Narrowing narrators/bloggers down broke my heart so I am changing the format a bit! Hopefully, I can squeeze in everyone I want too!

I need to try a book by Joe Hill. I’ve never read or listened to anything by him. My library has this book on audio, so I think I’ll pick it up from there.
I started the Hill one but was lazy all weekend and then went all eeek gotta finish a book (a shorter one 😉
I really need to read N0S4R2! Everyone I know LOVES it and I’m off to check out Readign the Paranormal now.
