#30DaysOfThanks2014 Day 20: Supernatural Snark, Emma Galvin, Emily Shaffer

Posted November 20, 2014 by Felicia S in Month of Thanks / 13 Comments

Hi Y’all! It is November and I am bringing back #30DaysOfThanks for Year 3 aka #30DaysOfThanks2014. I had so much fun doing this last 2 years that I thought I would recycle the program again this year.

Blogger: Supernatural Snark

What can I say about Jenny: She makes me laugh! She is the other one that I mentioned the other day when talking about Steph that makes me stand in awe at every review that she writes. She is such a beautiful writer. She is super duper talented (have you seen her book covers) and super duper sweet. I got to meet her a few years ago and really hope to hang out with her again in the future! Go give her some major love:

Supernatural Snark

Narrator: Emma Galvin

Books I have listened to narrated by her:

  • Red Hill by Jamie McGuire
  • Divergent Series by Veronica Roth
  • Zom-B by Darren Shan

Books on my wishlist:

  • The World Walker series by Josephine Angelini
  • Arcana Chronicles by Kresley Cole
  • The Rest of the Zom-B series by Daren Shan

Narrator: Emily Shaffer

Books I have listened to narrated by her:

  • Bloodlines Series by Richelle Mead
  • Age of X Series by Richelle Mead

Books on my wishlist:

  • I need to catch up on the Bloodlines Series!

This year Fantasy is More Fun & Because Reading are doing a Month of Giving Thanks giving you a chance to participate. You should take them up on the opportunity!

NOTE: This year I switched it up a bit for the first 12 days: I will highlight one book from 2014 that really stuck with me (each book scored a 4.75 or 5 from me), one narrator that landed on my must listen list, and one blogger that I am thankful for! For days 13 to 30 I will highlight either 2 bloggers and 1 narrator OR 2 narrators and 1 blogger. These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love. In fact this year in both the narrator and blogger categories I had way over 30 (Yet with books I only had 12 “new to me this year” reads that ranked above a 4.75).Β  Narrowing narrators/bloggers down broke my heart so I am changing the format a bit! Hopefully, I can squeeze in everyone I want too!

  1. I seriously have to check out Supernatural Snark because the blog name alone has BBB (Best Blogger Buddy) written all over it!

I just listened to the first Divergent book earlier this month and have to agree – great narrator. I’m not sure I know Emily Schaffer though!

  2. I’m just now seeing this!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST FELICIA!!!!!! I can’t even tell you how much this post means to me, and I’m really, really, REALLY hoping, a conference or book event of some kind has us meeting up again. I adore your face. That is all.

  3. I think I have heard of that blog but will go check it out just in case I haven’t. πŸ™‚ I don’t think I know that narrator either, but then I haven’t listened to any of those books. πŸ™‚

    Have a great day!

    • Today was pretty much the extent of my YA reads narrators LOL πŸ™‚ Though I have to say that Emma made me stick with Red Hill far further than I would have originally. That book was horrid.

  4. Jenny does indeed have mad book cover design skills!! From these posts, I’m learning that we stalk pretty much all of the same peeps. Emma Galvin is a great narrator; I just discovered her via Maggie Stiefvater’s Sinner, then Jennifer recommended Kresley Cole’s YA series, and now I’m hooked. I’m not familiar with Emily Shaffer, so another one for the pile I guess!

    • Yeah for Stalking (I mean fangirling –oh who am I kidding) πŸ™‚ They are pretty fantastic peeps! I can’t help but want to follow their every words!

According to Jennifer, I must listen to the KC YA series but I swear first bit of angst and I am going to call her πŸ™‚
