First Thought When Finished: I really liked the mystery in 2nd Chance by James Patterson!
What I Loved: The mystery was really strong in this addition to the series. I really loved how it weaved in all the characters and through that we got to know more about them. It also gave you a bit of back story which was really interesting. I am not going to give anything away but once I thought I figured it out–one more loop was thrown into the mix.
What I Liked: We are really getting to know the characters more! I am beginning to like them all and can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Audio Review: I liked the duel voices of a male and female narrator! However, Melissa Leo was a bit stronger which is good because she was the bulk of the book. I love Jeremy Piven though and he voices a good bad guy!
Final Thought: This was a great 2nd edition to the series. While I don’t think you have to read these in order (each case stands alone), I think you would miss character development if you read them out of order.

Everyone is always so shocked when I saw I do not read these kinds of books…or maybe that is cos I live in a country where we read nothing else
I totally agree! Especially with mysteries as they character development is often second to the case π
Anytime! My dad got me into them and I am loving them. Some are done way better than others. I also suggest for a first time to at least pick a book you are thinking you are going to love. My first 3 were books I had already read so I could get used to them!
He has a TON of books! π π π
LOL I like his mysteries but that has to do with my Investigation Discovery addiction π
I think that is the case with more series, you miss out on character development. Which is why I do prefer reading in order. For the JD Robb books that is also an important thing I enjoy.
I am still getting used to audiobooks. Not that I have listened to many but I would like hear something that has both male and female narrating. I think I will ask you for audiobook recs before I go buy any next time π
I've read James Patterson… But I can't for the life of me recall which books I read off the top of my head!
Stop eet! Yes, I will read his books. I don't know if I'll start with this series, but I do think I'll add it to the wishlist.
